Coconut Cream Powder
We carry an assortment of brands of coconut cream powder. The 3 brands we stock are Roxy, Chaokoh & Chao Thai. What brand is shipped will depend on what we are getting through our wholesaler. All the brands are high quality with excellent taste.
1.5 to 2 ounce aluminum pouches, containing the perfect amount for backpacking trips. The bag is generous enough to provide enough for a couple of trail meals. Coconut cream powder makes a great addition to rice dishes, to make curry dishes creamy, and works very well added to coffee. It adds a huge punch of needed fat as well (about 9 grams of fat per third of the bag). It can also be mixed with water to make a coconut cream "milk" for use on cereal and fruit.
Contains: Coconut cream, Sweetener, Sodium Caseniate. May contain: Silicon Dioxide, Dipotassium Phosphate. No artificial flavors or colors. Product of Thailand or Malaysia.

Thai coconut and seafood soup:
Mix at home in a quart freezer bag:
2 ½ tsp. fish or vegetable bullion (low sodium or regular)
1 tsp. ground ginger or galangal
2 Tbl. dried chives
2 Tbl. dried cilantro
1 Tbl. dried shallots (can use dried onions)
6 Tbl. coconut cream powder
1-2 tsp. sugar
1-3 tsp. Thai green curry paste (1 for mild, 3 for hot)
Salt and pepper if needed, to taste
1 ½ tsp. powdered lime juice
Label and package with:
½ - 1 cup instant rice in a second quart freezer bag.
1-2 foil pouches seafood (shrimp, crab, tuna)
1 condiment package soy sauce
In Camp: Add 2 ½ cups boiling water to bag containing dry ingredients; add soy sauce and seafood. Prepare rice separately and pour soup over rice.
Serves 2-4, depending on taste.
